(Candidate must be available to work from Guadalajara, Queretaro, Mexico City or Monterrey office at least 2-3 day per week)Job SummaryWe are looking for a Senior Mainframe Developer with 6+ years of experience responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting complex mainframe applications.
Collaborates with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and support critical business operations in a z/OS environment.
Experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2/IDMS, CICS, VSAM, and end-to-end SDLC is required.
Relevant technologies align with enterprise mainframe environments documented internally.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Design, develop, test, and implement mainframe applications and enhancements.Create and maintain COBOL programs, JCLs, DB2/IDMS objects, VSAM files, and CICS transactions.Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.Investigate and resolve production incidents, batch failures, and performance issues.Support application releases, deployments, and post-implementation validation.Coordinate with business users, QA teams,
