The Systems Engineer for Mechatronic Application & Testing is responsible for the integration, validation, and formal sign-off of mechatronic vehicle systems — combining mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software/control elements. This role ensures that mechatronic subsystems (., actuators, sensors, motors, control units, and closed-loop control systems) meet functional, performance, safety, and durability requirements prior to release, and serves as the technical authority accountable for sign-off decisions at key program milestones.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering

3+ years of experience in mechatronic systems engineering, application engineering, or systems validation within automotive

Solid understanding of mechanical design principles (tolerances, kinematics, materials) combined with electrical/electronic circuits and embedded control systems

Hands-on experience with test tools/environments (HIL, dSPACE, CANoe/CANalyzer, LabVIEW, or equivalent)

Familiarity with requirements management tools like Jama and control system modeling (MATLAB/Simulink)

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills across multi-domain systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-disciplinary technical reporting

English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ASPICE processes for mechatronic/embedded systems

Knowledge of vehicle network protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay)

Experience testing closed-loop control systems, motor/actuator performance, or sensor fusion applications
