We are looking for a Mid-Level Database Administrator to keep our production databases available, fast and secure. You will work with development, infrastructure and support teams, both local and international, in a high-impact operational environment.
Responsibilities
Administer, monitor and maintain relational databases across development, QA and production environments.
Optimize SQL queries, indexes and stored procedures to improve performance.
Implement and test backup, recovery and high-availability strategies.
Manage users, roles and permissions following security best practices.
Diagnose and resolve database incidents, including connectivity issues between applications and servers.
Take part in migrations, version upgrades and schema change deployments.
Work with infrastructure teams on network issues that affect database availability.
Document procedures, configurations and contingency plans.




Communicate in English with international teams and clients.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience as a DBA or in a similar role.
Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, performance tuning, stored procedures and data modeling.
Hands-on experience with at least one relational database engine (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle or SQL Server).
Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls and connectivity troubleshooting.
Advanced English, spoken and written (B2+/C1).
Based in Mexico.
Nice to Have
Experience with AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, CloudWatch).
CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge.
Scripting experience (Bash, Python or PowerShell) for task automation.
Background in the telecommunications or SaaS industry.
