Social Media Content SpecialistAbout the Role
We’re seeking a Social Media Content Specialist to develop, create, and manage organic social content for a physician-founded digestive health company in New York. You’ll collaborate with our team to transform medical and educational information into posts, reels, and stories that feel original, culturally relevant, and easy to understand—without relying on generic or AI-generated filler.
Key Responsibilities• Build and maintain a consistent organic posting schedule across social platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn).
• Create engaging posts, Reels/short-form video, and Stories while maintaining brand voice and credibility.
• Translate physician-provided information (and related medical literature) into clear, digestible educational content.
• Develop and manage content calendars (planning, scheduling, and follow-through).
• Maintain strong visual consistency and a clean brand presentation (formatting, visuals, captions, and tone).
• Stay current on U.S.



social media trends and incorporate them thoughtfully into content ideas.
• Support community engagement (as directed), including responding to comments/DMs and spotting topics that resonate.
• Use good judgment to ensure messaging is accurate, responsible, and aligned with our content standards.

Qualifications• Professional knowledge of English is mandatory
• Strong understanding of current U.S. social media trends and content formats.
• Ability to take direction, learn our style, and turn ideas into high-quality content consistently.
• Creative and resourceful: able to make educational content interesting without oversimplifying.
• Organized and proactive—able to manage deadlines and maintain a steady cadence.
• Curious and comfortable learning with medical/health topics; a medical background is not required.
• Good judgment, willingness to learn from feedback, and strong communication skills.
