This role

The Country Controller is responsible for leading all accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal control activities for the company’s operations in Mexico, ensuring alignment with both local statutory requirements and U.S. corporate reporting standards.



This role serves as the primary finance lead for the country and acts as a key liaison between the local business leadership and the U.S.-based Corporate Accounting team.

Responsibilities
• Lead all local accounting operations, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with local GAAP and U.S. GAAP / corporate reporting standards

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements, regulatory filings, and local compliance reports

• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities

• Oversee local tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and other statutory filings

• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance frameworks consistent with corporate standards and SOX-style controls where applicable
