Why this role exists

We are strengthening our operations in Mexico and we want one person who owns the whole chain, from the moment product prepares to leave the US for importation to the moment it reaches the customer and the finance picture that goes with it.

Who we're looking for

You are a finance professional who is just as comfortable following a shipment through customs as closing the month, or an operations professional who is comfortable with financial oversight and detailed cash reporting. You are not a pure accountant who stays away from the warehouse, and you are not a logistics coordinator who avoids the numbers. You are the rare person who does both well.

You work independently, you spot problems before they turn into stock-outs or cash gaps, and you communicate clearly with a global team in two languages.

What you'll own — Operations

- Import to distribution. Own the product flow end to end in Mexico, from inbound shipments to final delivery.
- Shipment planning. Forecast and monitor shipments.
- Customs clearance. Oversee and facilitate the process with customs brokers and authorities.
- Inventory. Manage stock levels to avoid overstock and out of stock situations.
- Partners. Manage relationships with 3rd party logistics providers and parcel service companies.
- Systems. Maintain master data in the ERP system and demand planning tool.
- Customer service level. Make sure customers get a reliable experience.

What you'll own — Finance

- Accounting. Maintain the accounting records up to the issuance of financial statements.
- Cash model. Build, maintain and report on the cash model for regional and global finance.
- Cashflow. Monitor and forecast cashflow, including FX exposure between MXN and USD.
- Tax.



Liaise with the tax advisor to ensure compliance with Mexican tax regulations.
- Banking. Manage the bank accounts, payments and the relationship with banks.
- Expenses. Optimize company expenses within the expenses approval policy.
- Payroll. Handle payroll computation and declarations with the tax advisor.

Must-haves

- A Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in General Accounting and Financial Analysis.
- A solid understanding of Supply Chain Management, with exposure to imports and customs processes in Mexico.
- Fluency in verbal and written Spanish and English.
- Expertise in Microsoft and Google office applications.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Navision or any similar ERP.

Strong pluses

- Experience in a direct-to-consumer business.
- Hands-on work with customs brokers and 3rd party logistics providers.
- Experience reporting to a regional or global finance team.
- Experience with demand planning tools.

- Based in Mexico City, working in-office.
- Some visits to third parties — banks, tax advisor, auditor, customs brokers and logistics companies.
- Potential for travel to other Unicity locations.
- You work under the guidance of Unicity’s Executive Vice President, with close collaboration with finance and operations team members, Sales Director, and Unicity’s integral team.
