TL;DR
- Three hats, one mission: you find great people, grow them through Learning & Development (L&D;), and help them get licensed. You build the team that builds CINCO.
- You'll build our training, not just deliver it: courses, learning paths, and each person's growth plan.
- You're a natural conversationalist. You go past the résumé to find out who someone really is.
- Fluent Spanish and English (required). You'll work every day with our U.S. team.
- No HR degree or insurance license needed. Passion for people is.
- CINCO is an insurance agency headquartered in Texas, licensed in 11 U.S. states, with 8,000+ five-star reviews, hiring across the U.S., Latin America, and Asia.
- Availability: 9 a.m.–7 p.m. U.S. Central, 5 or 6 service days a week. We'll set yours together in the interview. Saturdays are some of our busiest days, so Saturday availability is a plus.
- The honest part: lots of conversations go nowhere, candidates disappear, and in licensing one small mistake costs big.
Who We Are CINCO is a full-service insurance agency: car, home, renters, and commercial (trucking, contractors, restaurants, food trucks, and more). We're headquartered in Texas and licensed in 11 states: Texas, California, Florida, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Illinois, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
Most of our customers are Latino families and small business owners in the U.S. who want two things: someone they can trust, and a fair price. That's our whole motto: Why Pay More? / ¿Por qué pagar más?
The proof is 8,000+ five-star reviews on Google and Trustpilot. Every one of them was earned by a person on our team. Finding and growing those people is exactly what you'll do.
Our team is international: the U.S., Latin America, and Asia, all connected and pulling in the same direction.
The Role in One Picture
Think of a soccer club. The players get the applause. But someone scouted them, someone coached them, and someone made sure their paperwork was in order before they ever stepped on the field.
At CINCO, that's one person: you. Scout, coach, and sporting director, all in one seat.
What You'll Do
1) Recruiting (about half your time)
- Write and post the job ads (yes, like this one), then source and screen candidates on Indeed, social media, and other channels for every area of the business: sales and service, operations, digital marketing, and technology, across the U.S., Latin America, and Asia.
- Conversations, not interrogations. You're the one who asks "How did that happen?" and finds the story behind the résumé.
- Screen for GRIT (below), plus the energy, honesty, and drive to grow we look for.
- Use our interview scorecard and keep every candidate's status current, so nobody slips through the cracks.
- You recommend; CINCO leadership makes the final call.
2) Learning & Development / L&D; (about a third) Build our training.
- Design courses and learning paths for every role:
- onboarding programs
- step-by-step modules
- quick refreshers
- quizzes that check what actually stuck
Bring it to life. Lead virtual sessions, in groups and one-on-one:
- sales and customer service
- insurance products and our quoting software
- compliance and our culture
Record lessons people can rewatch anytime, so training doesn't end when the session does. Own the first 90 days. Paperwork, system access, orientation, and steady check-ins. Day one should feel like "I got this," not "now what?" By day 90, they're running on their own.
Run the Protégé Program. Lead and keep improving our Protégé Program, our path for growing talent from the inside. Guide each person's next step and help spot our future leaders and managers.
Keep it current as we add new states, carriers, and lines. If something can be explained with an analogy, you'll find the analogy.
3) Agent Licensing (the rest)
U.S. licensing compliance:
- resident and non-resident license applications
- carrier appointments
- continuing education (CE) tracking and renewals across our 11 states
Keep a spotless tracker: who's licensed where, and what expires when. Exam prep support: give unlicensed hires the right study materials, then check in on their progress and practice scores.
- Think personal trainer for the exam: you build the plan, check the reps, and know when they're ready.
Measuring What Works (across all three) Track the numbers that tell the real story:
- time-to-hire
- retention
- how agents perform after training
Share what you find with leadership, and fix what isn't working. Gut feeling starts the conversation; data finishes it. Never worked with U.S. insurance licensing? Don't worry. We'll walk you through the system step by step.
The CINCO Culture: GRIT
- Gratitude. We say thank you and mean it: to customers, to teammates, and to the candidate who gave us half an hour of their day.
- Resilience. A "no" isn't the end. We get back up, adjust, and go again.
- Integrity. We tell the truth, even when it's inconvenient. Especially then.
- Trust. Our core pillar. Customers trust us with their families and businesses, and we earn it every day.
What it feels like: every department works together in CINCO One-Team, a virtual workspace that's open all day: sales, underwriting, accounting, design, developers, and contractors. The agents serving customers are the center of everything. When they need an answer, a customer is waiting live, so we respond in seconds, not hours. You'll see the whole machine at work, and you'll watch the people you brought in shine. You'll Thrive Here If You…
- Love talking to people and meeting someone new, genuinely.
- Are curious. You want the why behind every career move, not just the what.
- Read people well. You can tell rehearsed from real.
- Get excited when someone you believed in wins.
- Love turning complicated stuff into simple lessons. Bonus if you've built a course,
a training deck, or tutorial videos, with any tools.
- Are organized and detail-sharp. In licensing, "close enough" doesn't exist.
- Come from Recruiting, HR, training, sales, hospitality, call center, or customer service. Any of them works if you bring the passion.
- Are fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written). You'll interview in both languages and work with our U.S. team.
- Are comfortable with tech: Indeed, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, video calls, and AI tools.
- Have your own computer, stable internet, and a quiet place to work from home.
Nice to Have
- You've built a training program from scratch.
- You've recruited or trained for U.S.-based teams.
- An HR or training certification (SHRM, ATD, or similar).
- Experience supporting insurance operations (back office, call center, or customer service for an
- insurer or agency).
Real Talk: The Hard Parts We'd rather tell you now than surprise you later:
- For every great hire, there are a lot of conversations that go nowhere. That's the work, not a sign you're failing.
- Candidates disappear, even after a great interview. You follow up, move on, and don't take it personally.
- Three hats means some days all three need you at once. Prioritizing is part of the role.
- Licensing is unforgiving. A mistake on an application or a missed CE date can keep an agent from working. Precision isn't optional.
- You'll tell good people "not right now." Respectfully, honestly, and often.
- When someone you trained isn't ready, you own it and help fix it.
(STOP) This Isn't Your Seat If…
- You'd rather send emails than talk to people.
- You want to do the exact same thing every day.
- Details and deadlines stress you out more than they fire you up.
- You decide who someone is in the first 30 seconds.
- You're looking for something easy to just pass the time.
- You can't commit to at least 5 full days a week.
- Your English isn't yet strong enough for a professional interview.
What You Get
- A front-row seat building the team of an agency growing across multiple states, with your fingerprints on every hire.
- Real training in insurance, licensing, and our systems. You'll understand this industry from the inside.
- Variety: recruiting, building and leading courses, and compliance. No time to get bored.
- Work from home with a team that celebrates big and has your back on the tough days.
- Room to grow as CINCO enters new states and new lines of insurance.
