We are looking for a Mid-Level Database Administrator to keep our production databases available, fast and secure. You will work with development, infrastructure and support teams, both local and international, in a high-impact operational environment.

Responsibilities

- Administer, monitor and maintain relational databases across development, QA and production environments.
- Optimize SQL queries, indexes and stored procedures to improve performance.
- Implement and test backup, recovery and high-availability strategies.
- Manage users, roles and permissions following security best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve database incidents, including connectivity issues between applications and servers.
- Take part in migrations, version upgrades and schema change deployments.
- Work with infrastructure teams on network issues that affect database availability.
- Document procedures, configurations and contingency plans.




- Communicate in English with international teams and clients.

Requirements

- 3-5 years of experience as a DBA or in a similar role.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, performance tuning, stored procedures and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with at least one relational database engine (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle or SQL Server).
- Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Advanced English, spoken and written (B2+/C1).
- Based in Mexico.

Nice to Have

- Experience with AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, CloudWatch).
- CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge.
- Scripting experience (Bash, Python or PowerShell) for task automation.
- Background in the telecommunications or SaaS industry.
