Experience: 2-4 years

Engagement Type: Contract only

Important Notes

The JD shared is a standard requirement received from the hiring team. Focus on identifying the strongest available candidates with relevant experience and begin sharing qualified profiles as soon as possible.

Priority should be given to candidates with CPQ and/or eCommerce domain exposure, strong business analysis capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in a client-facing environment.

Role summary

Bridge business stakeholders and engineering for the Cisco Commerce CPQ Web Portal (trainable skills). You will turn quote-to-order business needs into clear, testable requirements and use AI assistants such as Copilot, Cursor or ChatGPT-class tools to speed up analysis, documentation and story writing.

Key responsibilities

Gather, analyze and document business requirements for CPQ and eCommerce processes: product configuration, pricing, discounting, quoting, deal approvals, ordering, renewals and subscriptions.

Run requirement workshops with sales operations, pricing, finance, partners and product teams.

Write epics, user stories and acceptance criteria (Given/When/Then) and maintain a groomed backlog in Jira or Rally.

Produce process flows, as-is / to-be maps, use cases and data mappings (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro).

Use AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT-class assistants) to draft user stories, summarize meeting notes, analyze data, generate test scenarios and query code or APIs for impact analysis; validate every AI output before sharing.

Perform gap and impact analysis for enhancements and upstream/downstream integrations (ERP, CRM, billing, order management).

Write and validate SQL queries to analyze data and support defect triage.

Support QA with test scenarios, coordinate UAT and obtain business sign-off.

Take part in Agile ceremonies as the voice of the business, acting as proxy Product Owner when needed.

Track and report on requirement status, risks and dependencies to stakeholders.

Must-have skills:

2-4 years / 5–7 years as a Business Analyst on enterprise IT applications.

At least 2 years on CPQ (Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, SAP CPQ or custom CPQ) or eCommerce platforms covering quote-to-cash or order-to-cash.

Strong knowledge of pricing, discounting, product configuration and approval workflows.

Proven skill in writing user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.

Agile/Scrum experience with Jira, Rally or Azure DevOps; documentation in Confluence.

Working SQL skills for data analysis and validation.

Mandatory

Hands-on use of AI assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Microsoft Copilot or equivalent) for requirement analysis, documentation and productivity in real project work.

Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable working with integral, distributed teams.

Good to have

Understanding REST APIs and microservices, enough to read API specs (Swagger/OpenAPI).

Experience with ERP/CRM integrations (Oracle EBS, Salesforce).

Certifications: CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, CSPO or SAFe.

Exposure to B2B high-tech or networking product sales.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related field; MBA is a plus.
