MaxTrans Logistics is looking for an experienced, successful freight broker with strong sales skills and the ability to teach others how to win business.

You must understand what it takes to prospect, earn a shipper’s trust, negotiate, close business, and grow a profitable book of business in a third-party logistics (3PL) and supply chain environment.

As our Sales Trainer & Performance Coach, you will develop new and experienced brokers through practical training, live call coaching, and consistent follow-up. You’ll work directly on the brokerage floor, helping our team turn sales knowledge into measurable results.

What you’ll do

- Train brokers on prospecting, cold calling, discovery, objection handling, negotiation, closing, and customer follow-up.
- Guide new hires through their first 90 days with clear development plans and practical skill checkpoints.
- Listen to live and recorded sales calls and provide specific, constructive feedback.
- Lead role-playing exercises, workshops, and individual coaching sessions.
- Help brokers improve their approach, build confidence, and convert opportunities into business.
- Create and improve sales scripts, playbooks, email examples, and training materials.
- Partner with leadership and team leaders to address skill gaps and track improvement.
- Stay actively involved on the sales floor, coaching both new hires and experienced brokers year-round.

Required qualifications

- 5+ years of sales experience, including direct freight brokerage sales experience within a 3PL serving shippers.
- A proven record as a successful freight broker: personally winning customers, meeting sales targets, and growing a profitable book of business.




- Strong knowledge of transportation, logistics, and supply chain needs.
- Excellent teaching and coaching skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and turn them into practical actions.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills.
- Professional English proficiency for customer calls, presentations, and training.
- Confidence providing direct, constructive feedback and following through on improvement.
- Strong organization and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Direct freight brokerage sales experience is required. Candidates whose experience is limited to dispatch, tracking, or general sales without personally selling brokerage services will not meet the requirements.

Schedule and career growth

This role is based on-site in Mérida, Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time (EST/EDT). Mérida working hours adjust when the U.S. changes clocks for daylight saving time.
