- Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Passionate about integrating AI-driven insights to build self-healing database infrastructures and autonomous tuning pipelines.
- Mentor and guide junior database engineers to build a high-performing team.




- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for database-related incidents.

Requirements

Primary Skills

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in database management, administration, and performance optimization
- Must have expertise in building, configuring, securing, and managing MySQL to ensure optimal performance
- Experience in large-scale cloud deployments with expertise in AWS, with Azure or GCP as a bonus
- Proficiency in cloud-native database technologies like RDS and Aurora.
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup, recovery, replication, and performance monitoring
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB would be an added advantage
- Basic exposure to configuration management tools like Chef/Puppet
- Familiarity with Terraform for database changes
- Experience with using GitHub for version control and collaboration
- Relevant certifications in database administration, automation, or related fields are beneficial
