Kyungshin Cable Mexico is a company specialized in the manufacturing of automotive wiring harnesses and electrical components, supporting the automotive industry through high-quality manufacturing processes and global quality standards.

We are currently looking for a Packaging Engineer – Automotive to join our team in Gómez Palacio, Durango.

This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, validating, and optimizing packaging solutions for automotive components, ensuring product protection, cost efficiency, quality, and compliance with customer and OEM requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Location: Gómez Palacio, Durango, Mexico

Work arrangement: On-site

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop, validate, and optimize packaging solutions for automotive components.
- Ensure packaging provides adequate product protection while meeting cost, quality, and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with customer, OEM, and applicable industry packaging standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and other departments to implement packaging projects.
- Coordinate with suppliers and customers regarding packaging requirements, specifications, and improvements.
- Create, maintain, and update packaging specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Support packaging trials, testing, validation, and implementation during different stages of the product lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to improve packaging efficiency, quality, cost, transportation, and material utilization.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to packaging processes.




- Analyze packaging-related issues and coordinate corrective actions with the corresponding teams.
- Support new product launches and engineering changes involving packaging requirements.
- Ensure packaging solutions are compatible with manufacturing and logistics processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Packaging Engineer.
- Automotive industry experience preferred.
- Experience with OEMs such as Ford, GM, or Stellantis is highly desirable.
- Automotive wiring harness experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and logistics.
- Intermediate conversational English required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for a Packaging Engineer with hands-on experience developing and implementing packaging solutions within a manufacturing environment.

The idóneo candidate will have experience balancing product protection, cost efficiency, customer requirements, and logistics considerations while coordinating packaging activities with different departments, suppliers, and customers.

Previous automotive industry experience and exposure to OEM requirements will be considered important advantages for this position.

Sueldo: $20,000.00 - $22,000.00 al mes
