A global automotive manufacturing company is looking for a Regional EHS Manager – North America to lead Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability initiatives across multiple manufacturing operations in Mexico and the United States.

This is a regional role with responsibility across multiple manufacturing sites in North America. The position will be preferably based in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and will report directly to global leadership.

We are looking for someone who can successfully combine regional strategic leadership with a strong hands-on approach to plant operations. The adecuado candidate should be comfortable working closely with Plant Managers, understanding operational challenges firsthand and translating corporate EHS standards into effective actions at site level.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate regional Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability initiatives across North American manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations in both Mexico and the United States.
- Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of corporate Safety and Sustainability standards throughout the region.
- Partner closely with Plant Managers and local leadership teams to identify risks, define priorities and implement corrective action plans.
- Support and conduct internal audits, compliance audits and Safety & Sustainability assessments.
- Establish and monitor regional EHS metrics, KPIs and reporting processes.
- Analyze safety trends and operational data to identify gaps and develop effective action plans.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout all levels of the organization.
- Conduct Safety & Sustainability awareness training and support regional improvement projects.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS/HSE experience within manufacturing environments.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience.




- Experience leading or supporting regional and/or multi-site EHS projects.
- Strong practical knowledge of U.S. EHS regulations and compliance requirements is essential.
- Previous experience working with U.S. manufacturing operations and regulatory frameworks such as OSHA and EPA.
- Advanced / fluent English is mandatory.
- Experience within the automotive industry or complex manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001.
- Strong understanding of environmental, occupational health and safety compliance.
- Strong communication, influencing and change-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience working with EHS performance indicators.
- Hands-on, operational mindset, with the ability to balance strategic responsibilities with direct plant involvement.
- Availability for frequent travel across North America.
- Availability to be based in San Luis Potosí or relocate to the area.

Compensation & Benefits
- Monthly gross salary of up to MXN $170,000, depending on experience.
- Superior benefits package.
- Annual performance bonus of up to 2 months of salary.
- Relocation support to San Luis Potosí may be available.

Sueldo: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 al mes
