Description
Meztal is looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our team in a mid-level capacity. This position is responsible for supporting and executing full-cycle accounting activities while maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring accounting processes are completed accurately and on time. The adecuado candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting, approximately four or more years of relevant professional accounting experience after graduation, hands-on full-cycle accounting experience, and the ability to work effectively with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders in an English-speaking business environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and execute full-cycle accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records. Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and complete necessary adjustments. Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Prepare and maintain supporting schedules, accounting records, and financial documentation.
Assist with the preparation and review of financial reports and related accounting information. Review accounting transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification. Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain appropriate supporting documentation. Collaborate effectively with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders regarding accounting activities, requests, and deliverables. Maintain organized and accurate accounting records while following established accounting procedures and internal controls. Support additional accounting and financial reporting activities as required by the position.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting (Contaduría Pública) is required. Professional degree certificate (Título Profesional) is required. Valid Cédula Profesional is required.
