Multinational Manufacturing Company is looking for a Cost Accounting Manager to join its manufacturing operation in Guadalupe, Nuevo León.
About the position
The Cost Accounting Manager will lead the plant costing function and provide accurate financial and cost information to support operational decision-making, profitability, and continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on manufacturing role, working closely with Manufacturing, Operations and Supply Chain, with strong interaction with the plant floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the plant Cost Accounting team.
- Manage Standard Cost and Product Costing processes.
- Analyze manufacturing cost variances, including material, labor, overhead, scrap and production performance.
- Monitor fixed and variable manufacturing costs and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Support inventory valuation, cost recognition and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure product costs are properly maintained in the ERP according to budget and standard costs.
- Develop and monitor cost dashboards and KPIs for plant and regional leadership.
- Partner with Operations and Manufacturing to identify root causes of cost variances and implement corrective actions.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to manufacturing costs.
- Drive cost optimization, process standardization, simplification and automation initiatives.
- Develop and coach a high-performing Cost Accounting team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Cost Accounting / Costing within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with Standard Cost, Product Costing and Manufacturing Cost Variance Analysis.
- Experience with inventory valuation and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Previous experience leading and developing teams.
- Strong analytical and data-driven approach.
- Advanced Excel and experience with dashboards / BI tools.
- SAP experience is REQUIRED.
- Experience participating in SAP or other ERP implementations, migrations or transitions is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with Manufacturing and Operations.
- Advanced English preferred.
