PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESBuild and maintain close customer and manufacturing relationshipsAct as the window to the customer for information from YNA-affiliated manufacturing, design and quality groups.Assess and validate quality, manufacturing process, design and other customer concerns at the customerPresent to the customer complex defects and counter-measures as well as negotiate their solutionsProvide change recommendationsProblem-solving assessing and validating the vigente and potential design / quality solutions vs. observed concernsSupport Part Approval and related first piece sign offProvide on-site customer support for investigations and other quality or design-related events.
(e.G. audits, repair, vehicles on-hold and assisting with on-site customer repairs as required)Supervise any 3rd party sort / rework (e.G. Product Action)Support on answering official and unofficial customer claims thoroughly, accurately, in a timely and technically correct manner to achieve customer approvalsManage the tracking, analysis and reporting of customer quality claim informationVerify corrective action effectiveness through the Manufacturing team.Coordinate and support customer visits / audits to Yazaki manufacturing plantsSolve complex problems and prevent their recurrence by working with Manufacturing and the customerFacilitate customer visits for Yazaki manufacturing, design and quality groupsLiaise with Manufacturing, communicating customer Quality Manual requirements and coordinating corrective action activities / responsesAnalyze trends in factory defects focusing on manufacturing improvement areasConduct wiring system function and vehicle interface analysisParticipate in program launch preparationSchedule and attend manufacturing program launch reviewsCoordinate with Manufacturing to provide customer supportOffer technical support to internal groupsSupport Program Management in the execution and monitoring of key program milestone events (GPMS)Develop Past Problem History Analysis with the customer and Manufacturing.Reviews the inspection standard to ensure smooth trial events and safe launch activityConduct manufacturing / supplier readiness reviews using the appropriate Yazaki or customer assessment toolSupports team members at build events: assembling / recording quality issues, assigning responsibilities, validating closure of defect concernIncorporates lessons learned into advanced program team activitiesPerform quality audits that support Key Strategies in manufacturing and distributionComplete and submit CSs and Quality Authorized Rework (AR) packages to instigate reworkInitiate root cause analysis for identified quality issues using Global Quality Reporting System (GQRS) then direct the corrective action activities with Yazaki manufacturing and distribution facilitiesMaintain issue documentation through GQRS, QE Report, CS/AR and sorting logsKeep a working knowledge of customer carlines, Yazaki-supplied parts and manufacturing / quality processesIdentify critical product features, communicating to Manufacturing the key critical items and what activity to implement to prevent defectsImplement and support continuous improvement activitiesParticipate in Key Strategies meeting: report launch updates, issue status, trial run impacts and other pertinent detailsReport to YNA Nissan management and customer management as requestedSupport long-range and short-term group forecasts, goals, objectives, and prioritiesSupport other projects, tasks,



and/or duties as assignedHandle and analyze the warranty claims addressed by the customer to Yazaki, and have a successful negotiation to get them removed from the Yazaki Supplier Score card.Prepare and submit warranty report (WLRC) periodically, to recover warranty costs based on Nissan procedure and Yazaki requirements, in order to keep Warranty costs within threshold (KPI), for both Nissan Mexico and Nissan North America.REQUIREMENTSDegree Requirements:Associate's Degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field or equivalent experience preferredCertification Requirements:N/APrevious Experience:Required experience in : Automotive engineering experience or related fieldQEI: 2 years of experiencePreferred experience in : Automotive engineering experience or related fieldQEI: 2 years of experienceW/H manufacturing experience with the ability to read blueprints, problem solving experience, Control Plan, FMEA and high-level quality auditing experience preferredUnique Sr.
QE: experience and / or training for ISO/TS Quality Management Systems preferredTravel Requirements:Both domestic and international travel required branches, customer and manufacturing sitesLanguage:Software:Microsoft SuiteOn Call Requirements:Yes, during customer production hours including overtime and weekend hours.
Occasionally able to work a different shift to support launch or customer events.Physical Requirements:Able to lift up to 45 pounds, sort / inspect parts, stand 8+ hours in assembly plant environmentCopyright **** - YAZAKI.
