We are looking for a skilled Functional Tester to join the team as a Verification & Validation (V&V;) team member. You will help confirm that platform deliverables work — installing, upgrading, and regression-testing the platform on clean clusters, debugging failed deployments, and supporting the team's effort to move validation from manual checks toward repeatable, automated gates. Responsibilities Spin up clean Kubernetes environments, run the platform installer (single-node and HA profiles, interactive and silent modes), and confirm every pod/service is healthy Perform installation, upgrade, rollback, regression, and integration testing of the platform and its Helm-packaged components Install, debug, and clean up Helm charts; troubleshoot failed deployments using kubectl, logs, and events Validate Git Ops-driven deployments (Git-versioned configs reconciled through Flux), including upgrade, rollback, and backup/restore flows Run config checks and post-install smoke tests; help define what "working" looks like for each deliverable Create test cases, log defects, retest fixes, and maintain regression suites for installer/CLI changes Support the development of automated post-deployment health checks and pipeline-integrated quality gates Produce test evidence suitable for a regulated (medical device / healthcare) environment with formal validation and change control Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint ceremonies with a distributed, North America-based scrum team Requirements2+ years of experience in QAExperience with installation, upgrade, regression,
