Civil Estimator / Project Support Specialist
Location: Remote (Adaptable hours; ability to align with Eastern Time business hours)
Position Type: Full-time (Monthly Contract)
Compensation: $1,500 – $2,500 / month (based on experience)

We are a growing, owner-operated commercial construction firm specializing in civil utilities and site development work (grading, foundation removal, water/sewer installation, fire-service connections, interior demolition, and site prep). We serve small commercial clients in our local market, typically managing projects under $1M.
Because we operate as a lean, agile team with direct communication with key decision-makers, we value self-starters who can take complete ownership of their responsibilities, work autonomously, and deliver accurate results without micromanagement.
Role Overview
We are looking for a mid-level Civil Estimator / Project Support Specialist to manage our estimating process end-to-end and provide light project management support remotely.
In this role,
you will be responsible for identifying bid opportunities, performing accurate material takeoffs, preparing comprehensive bids, coordinating with subcontractors, and assisting with post-award project administration. You will work closely with leadership in a fast-paced environment with rapid feedback loops.
Key Responsibilities
1. Estimating & Bid Management
• Plan & Spec Review: Thoroughly analyze civil site development, utility, and demolition drawings, blueprints, and specifications to define scope.
• Takeoffs & Cost Calculations: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, equipment, and material costs for Division 2 / Site Work projects.
• Opportunity Identification: Proactively monitor bid boards and market sources for relevant opportunities and present suitable projects for approval.
