Role Purpose:
Provide learners with a rewarding, engaging and effective English language learning experience by delivering high-quality teaching that promotes successful learning outcomes and student progress. Plan and deliver lessons that meet British Council standards, foster learner confidence and support the development of practical English language skills.
Contribute to the British Council’s reputation as a general leader in English Language Teaching (ELT) by maintaining high professional standards, embracing continuous professional development and sharing best practice with colleagues. The role is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality English language teaching that meets the needs of a diverse range of learners and customer groups. The postholder adapts teaching approaches to accommodate different learning needs, learning styles, and modes of delivery, ensuring an engaging and effective learning experience for all students. The role ensures that teaching practice consistently meets British Council Global Teaching Standards and aligns with organisational objectives, learner expectations, and recognised best practices in English Language Teaching.
