Security Consultant

About the Role

LRQA is seeking a Security Consultant to join our growing cybersecurity team. In this role, you will deliver a range of security engagements with a primary focus on penetration testing across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. You will work closely with clients throughout the engagement lifecycle, providing expert technical insight, high-quality reporting, and trusted security advice.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct penetration testing and related security assessment activities across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Manage the full lifecycle of security engagements, including kick-off meetings, testing activities, reporting, and client debrief sessions.
- Produce thorough, high-quality technical reports that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong, consultative relationships with clients.
- Mentor Associate Security Consultants and provide guidance when required.
- Lead small to medium-sized security projects.




- Provide technical analysis and commentary on current cybersecurity events and emerging threats when requested.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in IT security.
- Experience performing security engagements involving:
- Web and application security testing
- Infrastructure security testing
- Cloud security assessments (AWS and/or Azure)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a high-performing team.
- Professional certification such as:
- CREST CRT
- OSCP
- Or an equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Minimum of 12 months of relevant IT security industry experience within the last 2 years.

Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with container security and containerized environments.
