This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite at the HSBC office in Toluca . Remote-only candidates should not be considered. Role Overview We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design and implement end-to-end quality engineering strategies across applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud services. The idóneo candidate will have strong hands-on experience building automated testing frameworks, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, performing API, integration, regression, performance, and reliability testing, and supporting secure and resilient software delivery. Key Responsibilities Define and execute end-to-end quality engineering strategies for applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud services. Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks covering: Unit testing API testing Integration testing Regression testing Performance testing Reliability testing Collaborate with developers and business analysts to review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and establish appropriate quality gates. Validate secure coding requirements aligned with OWASP principles . Test authentication, authorization, IAM, role-based access control, and least-privilege mechanisms. Validate data classification, data protection, encryption, masking, and secure data transmission requirements. Perform performance, load, stress, endurance, and volumetric testing. Validate application and platform reliability, resilience, error handling, recoverability, and service degradation scenarios. Verify application observability through logs, metrics, distributed traces, alerts, and operational dashboards. Identify, document, prioritize,
and track defects through resolution and retesting. Analyze test failures and collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes. Prepare test plans, automation reports, quality dashboards, defect metrics, and release-readiness recommendations. Continuously improve test coverage, automation efficiency, test data management, and quality feedback cycles. Required Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in software testing, QA automation, or quality engineering. Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks. Solid experience with: Unit testing Integration testing API testing Regression testing Performance testing Reliability testing Understanding of OWASP secure coding principles and application security testing. Knowledge of IAM, authentication, authorization, RBAC, and least-privilege access controls. Understanding of data classification, encryption, privacy, and secure data handling. Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines . Practical experience with load, stress, endurance, and volumetric testing. Familiarity with observability concepts, including logs, metrics, distributed traces, alerts, and dashboards. Strong analytical, defect management, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, and engineering teams. Nice to Have Experience testing cloud-native, microservices, event-driven, or AI-enabled applications . Knowledge of API testing and performance testing tools. Experience with containerized test environments. Experience with infrastructure automation. Security testing or performance engineering certifications.
