Role Description: As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and optimal performance of the plant’s equipment and automated systems. The primary focus will be on the diagnosis, preventive and corrective maintenance, and improvement of control systems based on Siemens technology, including PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and variable-frequency drives.
Requirements: Degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Control and Automation, or a related field.
Experience in programming and commissioning control and automation systems.
Knowledge of TIA Portal and Step 7.
Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Conversational English level (technical terms and everyday communication)
Main Activities:



Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MTBF, MTTR, and equipment availability.
Monitor and improve TPM management.
Manage critical spare parts and provide support in defining strategic inventory levels.
Participate in the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and production lines.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on Siemens automation systems:
-S7 1200 / S7 1500 / S7 300 PLCs,
-WinCC / TIA Portal SCADA,
-G120 / S120 drives, among others.
Diagnose and resolve faults in control systems, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and industrial networks.
Monitor the performance of critical equipment and propose improvements to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
Document changes, program backups, configurations, and updates to control systems.
Implement automation improvements focused on efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.
Assist in the commissioning of new production lines, equipment, and automation projects.
Collaborate with Safety, Maintenance, Production, and Quality to ensure operational continuity.
Ensure compliance with electrical and industrial safety and efficiency standards.
Train technical staff in the diagnosis and safe operation of automated systems.
Assistance with maintenance tasks for plant equipment and administrative tasks.
