Execute customized electromechanical designs for low-voltage electrical and automation systems, ensuring compliance with international standards for integrated solution projects.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Execute customized designs for low-voltage electrical and automation system solutions with minimal supervision, using local and global design standards, industry standards, and engineering best practices.
- Provide engineering support to Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, Field Service, and Quality Control teams from sales through execution, commissioning, and service.
- Develop new electrical and mechanical designs and standardize them for use across the engineering organization when applicable.
- Collaborate with electrical and automation engineers to prepare project-specific drawing packages.
- Technically approve deliverables from internal and external subcontractors related to developed designs and solutions to ensure industry and customer requirements are met.
- Be based in the Querétaro office, with domestic and international travel required to other Siemens Energy facilities and customer sites worldwide.
- Comply with and/or enforce all applicable Integrated Management System protocols, policies, and guidelines,
including EHS and Quality.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control, or Mechatronics preferred.
- 2+ years of electrical design experience involving drafting, design, or technical engineering. Experience in low-voltage power distribution equipment design is required. Candidates with additional experience may be considered for a more intermediate-level position.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical calculations, including cable sizing, enclosure modeling, and center-of-gravity calculations.
- Experience specifying electrical equipment.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and interpret customer specifications.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical codes and standards such as NEC, IEC, NEMA, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
About the Team
The selected candidate will work closely with the Engineering and Design group, Commercial and Sales teams, and other support functions to help customers on their decarbonization journey and transition toward sustainable processes.
This support is built on a strong industrial customer base, a global network, diverse technologies, and integrated execution capabilities.
