Role Purpose
The role holder is expected to facilitate the maintenance of an effective operational risk and control environment via the execution of the 1LoD thematic reviews and Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) process, provide inputs for identification of relevant risks and ensure adherence to the Incident Management process to enable timely Reporting. The role holder would be required knowledge and expertise to the IWPB business teams on all aspects of operational risks including products and important or relevant business process.

• Perform Thematic Reviews on relevant IWPB process in order to ensure appropriate control environment and active risk management.
• Ensure that IWPB country has a robust and compliant Business Risk Control Management capability within ‘First Line of Defence’ aligned to the Global model.




• Support IWPB teams in adherence to both internal and external directives from ‘Second Line of Defence’ including but not limited to Compliance, Operational Risk, Information Security Risk, Business Continuity functions.
• Assess and report on the adequacy of operational risk and control environment.
• Ensure through thematic reviews that the country IWPB team implements compliance policies and procedures in respect of IWPB business, including Non-Financial Risks programs as well as regulatory projects (including NFR, Integral Standards, etc).

Essential:

• Ability to perform Thematic or Audit reviews
• Strong Knowledge on IWPB Products and Channels and relevant business process
• Good understanding on Risk and Control management, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles
• Good understanding on Financial and Non-Financial risks and Framework
• Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment especially in the financial services sector
• Leadership, management and coaching skills
