We are looking for two Frontend Software Engineers (Junior to Middle level) to join a cross-functional squad on the Payments Platform. This is a hands-on execution role: building and maintaining checkout and payment interfaces with React, componentizing UI consistently with the design system, integrating APIs/BFFs with backend and product, and caring for performance, accessibility and the secure handling of customer and payment data. The engineer works closely with business experts, UX/UI designers and the infrastructure/delivery teams, owning the quality and reliability of what they ship.
The client is building its new Payments Platform: a modular, cloud-native platform that connects customer experience, business and technology across every market in the region. On the customer-facing side, the platform drives conversion through frictionless and one-click checkout, local payment methods and currencies, and a loyalty wallet enabling hybrid miles + money payments; underneath it adds smart routing, automated reconciliation and new revenue models such as subscriptions and BNPL.
The frontend is built with React on a shared design system, integrating REST APIs and BFFs exposed by Java/Spring Boot microservices on Google Cloud, with CI/CD, observability and security-by-design practices. AI-assisted development is part of the team's engineering workflow.
- Develop customer facing payment interfaces with React using clean and maintainable code
- Maintain checkout and payment interfaces in line with established design patterns and SOLID principles
- Componentize UI consistently with the design system
- Integrate REST APIs and BFFs in collaboration with backend and product teams
- Optimize frontend performance and reliability across delivered interfaces
- Apply accessibility and SEO good practices in frontend development
- Design unit and end to end tests for frontend features
- Participate in code reviews to support code quality
- Release changes safely using feature flags
