Position Summary
The Operations Projects Lead is responsible for leading critical operational improvement and recovery initiatives across the plant. This hands-on role drives execution, removes operational bottlenecks, and accelerates performance improvement through disciplined project management, daily accountability, and cross-functional collaboration. Initially focused on materials management, inventory control, warehouse effectiveness, finished-goods flow, and shipping, the role will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and other functions to stabilize processes, implement sustainable controls, and improve plant performance. As business needs evolve, the role may support broader production, planning, manufacturing, and operational transformation initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead assigned plant improvement, recovery, and operational transformation projects. Develop and maintain project charters, action plans, timelines, milestones, and measurable success criteria.



Coordinate cross-functional activities and conduct daily follow-up on open actions and commitments. Track project progress against agreed targets and timelines; identify delays, risks, and roadblocks. Escalate issues requiring management support and verify completion of assigned actions. Maintain project KPIs and provide clear, regular progress updates to plant leadership.
Operational Improvement
Identify and address operational bottlenecks that affect safety, quality, delivery, cost, or productivity. Implement rapid, practical actions to stabilize critical processes and deliver short-term results. Use structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methods to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Support standard work, process controls, visual management, and sustainable accountability routines. Create and maintain a PDCA Wall or equivalent visual action-tracking system for each assigned project.
