Our Offer

BACKUP Health is a general, operational project in the health sector, implemented by GIZ, on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)



and co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The aim of the global project is to enable partner countries to use the funds provided by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GF) in ways that strengthen their overall health systems and allow for a more sustainable and self-reliant response to HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria (HTM). BACKUP Health has 9 focus countries: Cameroon, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda in Africa and Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in Central Asia. In these countries, BACKUP Health offers advisory services via local project teams, develops catalytic investments in co-creation with its partners and complements the expertise with consultancies where needed.
