Job Description Summary - Procurement Manager
The Procurement Manager is responsible for driving supplier footprint optimization, strategic resourcing, and supply base optimization initiatives for BD´s Pharmacy Automation business unit.
The role is responsible for identifying, assessing, qualifying, and developing new suppliers with a strong focus to create a competitive, resilient, and scalable supply network. Leveraging advanced sourcing methodologies, supplier assessment frameworks, and robust project management capabilities,
the Procurement Manager will lead strategic transitions from incumbent suppliers to higher-performing, cost-competitive partners while ensuring business continuity, quality, and supply assurance.
Working across Manufacturing, R&D;, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain functions, this role will drive end-to-end supplier optimization projects, establish governance structures, manage risks, and accelerate strategies that support growth and operational excellence.
About the Role
Reporting to the Associate Director Pharmacy Automation and being part of BD's general Integrated Supply Chain Organization, the Procurement Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the organization's supply base optimization strategy.
This role focuses on identifying and deploying suppliers with enhanced capabilities, developing supplier ecosystems and leading strategic resourcing initiatives that strengthen supply chain resilience while delivering sustainable cost advantages.
