Controls Engineers design and develop systems for numerous markets, including building automation, data centers, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, wastewater, and more.
This position will perform daily tasks including programming, HMI graphical development, drawing updates and reviews, status updates, and other controls engineering activities related to assigned customer accounts. The position will oversee the production of various types of elements within the controls engineering field.
An important competency in this position is the ability to research, test, and analyze ideas for potential system and process improvements. Success in this role will be demonstrated by meeting safety and quality standards while contributing to improved production processes and customer satisfaction.
Required Experience – Siemens Desigo CC
Hands-on experience with Siemens Desigo CC is mandatory for this position. Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience working with the Siemens Desigo CC Building Management System (BMS).
This is a critical requirement for the position.
Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot problems with processes and hardware.
• Coordinate with others to determine problems and implement solutions.
• Provide technical assistance as needed by internal customers.
• Work with vendors to perform controls-related tasks.
• Meet performance metrics.
• Perform basic PLC programming.
• Perform basic to intermediate HMI graphical programming, including object updates, coding, naming, structure, visibility, etc.
• Perform network updates, including IP addressing and VLAN configurations.
• Integrate equipment through communication protocols, including Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, etc.
• Read controls wiring schematics and perform red-line updates.
• Work on customer jobsites remotely with minimal supervision.
• Be willing to travel, including internationally, as needed.
