We are looking for a Mid-Level Database Administrator to keep our production databases available, fast and secure. You will work with development, infrastructure and support teams, both local and international, in a high-impact operational environment.

Responsibilities
• Administer, monitor and maintain relational databases across development, QA and production environments.
• Optimize SQL queries, indexes and stored procedures to improve performance.
• Implement and test backup, recovery and high-availability strategies.
• Manage users, roles and permissions following security best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve database incidents, including connectivity issues between applications and servers.
• Take part in migrations, version upgrades and schema change deployments.
• Work with infrastructure teams on network issues that affect database availability.
• Document procedures, configurations and contingency plans.




• Communicate in English with international teams and clients.

Requirements
• 3–5 years of experience as a DBA or in a similar role.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, performance tuning, stored procedures and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with at least one relational database engine (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle or SQL Server).
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Advanced English, spoken and written (B2+/C1).
• Based in Mexico.

Nice to Have
• Experience with AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, CloudWatch).
• CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge.
• Scripting experience (Bash, Python or PowerShell) for task automation.
• Background in the telecommunications or SaaS industry.
