Senior Accounting Manager – Multi-Entity Accounting & Financial Reporting | Remote

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Senior Accounting Manager to manage accounting operations across multiple locations and business units.

This is a hands-on accounting leadership role with ownership of the month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit support, and accounting controls. You’ll work closely with the VP of Accounting and leadership to maintain accurate financial records while strengthening the systems and processes needed to support continued growth.

The idóneo candidate brings strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, multi-entity accounting experience, and expert-level QuickBooks Online skills.

What You’ll Own

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

- Own the month-end close across multiple locations and entities
- Manage and review financial records by business unit
- Review P&L;, AR, AP, payroll, and other accounting records
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate, complete, and timely
- Analyze financial results and investigate discrepancies or unusual activity
- Maintain financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP and U.S. accounting practices
- Help leadership maintain clear visibility into financial performance

Reconciliations & Accounting Operations

- Perform and review bank reconciliations
- Reconcile credit card accounts
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online
- Oversee accounting activity across multiple entities, locations, and business units
- Identify inconsistencies and ensure issues are resolved promptly
- Maintain supporting documentation and organized accounting records

Audit & Controls

- Perform and review audit procedures across:

- Revenue
- Accounts Receivable
- Inventory
- Fixed Assets
- Accounts Payable
- Debt
- Equity
- Payroll

Support external audits and respond to audit requestsMaintain accurate audit documentationEvaluate existing internal controlsIdentify accounting and financial risksStrengthen controls as the organization scalesImprove accounting processes and procedures where neededAccounting Leadership & Process Improvement

- Partner closely with the VP of Accounting and company leadership
- Help develop scalable accounting systems and processes
- Identify opportunities to improve financial accuracy and efficiency
- Standardize processes across locations and business units




- Help ensure accounting operations can support continued company growth
- Bring a structured, analytical approach to financial problem-solving

Requirements

- 5+ years of accounting experience, including direct ownership of the month-end close
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and U.S. accounting practices — essential
- Experience managing accounting across multiple entities, locations, or business units — essential
- Expert-level QuickBooks Online experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Hands-on experience with:

- Financial reporting
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Payroll
- Month-end close

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized and detail-orientedAbility to work independently and take ownership of accounting responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

- CPA license preferred but not required
- 2–4 years of public accounting or external audit experience
- Experience working in a fast-growing organization
- Experience supporting multi-location businesses
- Experience improving accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
- Experience supporting external audits

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Depending on the point in the accounting cycle, you may be reviewing month-end close activity across multiple locations, reconciling balance sheet accounts in QuickBooks Online, reviewing P&Ls; by business unit, or investigating discrepancies in AR, AP, payroll, or other financial records.

You may also review audit procedures, prepare documentation for external auditors, assess an internal control, or work with the VP of Accounting to improve a process that needs to scale across the organization.

In short: you’ll own the accuracy and integrity of the accounting function while helping build the processes and controls needed for growth.
