Job Description: Design Intern

Position Summary

As an MRO Design Intern, you will support the MRO and Customization area across various stages of design and engineering initiatives—from contributing to ongoing assignments to preparing and presenting new project concepts—always backed by the guidance and expertise of area specialists. Additionally, you will perform administrative support functions required to maintain compliance with Airbus Group internal standards and international quality frameworks, such as the AS9100 standard certification.

Key Responsibilities

- Project & Customization Support: Assist the MRO/Customization team in engineering tasks, project contributions, design documentation, and the preparation of new project presentations under expert supervision.
- Administrative & Compliance Support: Carry out key administrative functions necessary to align operations with Airbus Group internal standards and AS9100 international quality certification requirements.
- Technical Documentation: Consult and review technical manuals, manufacturer documentation, Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives during assigned design tasks.
- Parts & Tools Preparation: Support the identification and organization of technical data, parts, and tooling required for daily workshop and design work orders.
- Quality & 5S Program:



Assist in maintaining order, cleanliness, and standardization in work areas following the 5S methodology.
- Safety Culture: Attend operational safety briefings and immediately report any identified hazards or unsafe conditions in the hangar to promote a proactive safety culture.

Requirements

- Experience: No prior work experience required; internship/professional practice position aimed at students in their final academic terms.
- Education: Active student in the final semesters of a Technical or Engineering Degree (Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Design, or related field).
- Technical Knowledge: Theoretical understanding of aircraft structures, mechanical systems, or aeronautical design principles.
- Language: Technical English reading comprehension (ability to read and interpret technical manuals and aviation documentation).
- Software: Proficiency in Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides). Knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
- Quality Awareness: Basic understanding of aviation safety standards, technical documentation, and quality management frameworks (AS9100 / ISO 9001) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: High learning agility, resilience and frustration tolerance, effective written/verbal communication, and strong collaborative teamwork skills.
