We are hiring Quality Manager
Candidates must be based in Queretaro, Mexico
Reporting to QA Regional Manager
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
- Oversee quality processes, procedures, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead internal and external audits and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor quality KPIs, customer complaints, deviations, CAPAs, and root-cause analysis.
- Work closely with Production, R&D;, QC, Operations, and other areas to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food safety and quality regulations and certifications.
EHS
- Lead the Environmental, Health & Safety strategy and ensure compliance with Mexican legislation and applicable standards.
- Maintain and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, risk assessments, and safety programs.
- Coordinate safety inspections, incident investigations,
corrective actions, and preventive measures.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure employees receive appropriate EHS training.
- Monitor EHS KPIs and provide management with regular reports and recommendations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external authorities/auditors when required.
Leadership & Compliance
- Lead and develop the QA & EHS team.
- Partner with Plant Management and cross-functional teams to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure timely follow-up of audit findings, regulatory requirements, and improvement plans.
- Support a culture focused on quality, safety, compliance, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, EHS, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in QA, Food Safety, EHS, or related roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous management or leadership experience.
- Advanced and hands-on knowledge of FSSC 22000, including implementation, maintenance, audit preparation, non-conformity management, CAPA, and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience leading and managing Kosher audits and certification requirements.
- Proven experience preparing and leading SMETA audits, including evidence preparation, corrective action plans, and follow-up of findings.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican EHS legislation and STPS requirements, including inspections and compliance.
- Experience leading internal and external audits and managing corrective actions.
- Strong knowledge of CAPA, root cause analysis, risk assessment, and continuous improvement.
- Advanced English and strong leadership and communication skills.
