1. General Position Overview
Position Title Purchasing Supplier Development Engineer Strategic Components and Materials.
Sector Industry Automotive, Manufacturing, Metalworking, and Lifting Machinery.
Position Objective Lead the sourcing, localization, commercial evaluation, and development strategy for national and international suppliers to ensure the continuous and costeffective supply of metals, structural parts, and components of all kinds dedicated to platform assembly. The role focuses heavily on landed cost competitiveness, strategic negotiations, contract management, and proactive risk mitigation.
2. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing Supplier Development Search, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers domestic and global, including Asian and international markets for metallic components, subassemblies, and critical product parts.
Strategic Negotiation Contracting Drive highlevel negotiations on pricing, volume allocations, commercial terms Incoterms, FOB CIF conditions, payment terms, lead times, and continuous costreduction initiatives without compromising quality or delivery schedules.
Supply Chain Crisis Management Risk Mitigation Resolve critical supply shortages, manage supplier delivery bottlenecks, implement operational recovery plans, and lead commercial countermeasures to prevent line stoppages.
Commercial Project Management New Launches Coordinate the commercial and logistical integration of new components alongside quality and operations, supporting RFQ processes, cost breakdowns, and timely project kickoffs.
Performance Tracking Supplier Management Monitor and evaluate supplier scorecards OnTime Delivery OTD, leadtime compliance, cost variances and manage contractual terms under industrial manufacturing standards.
3. Requirements Academic Background
Education Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Administration, or related fields Degree required.
Minimum Experience 3 to 5 years of verifiable experience in similar roles Senior Buyer, Strategic Sourcing Engineer,



or Purchasing Supplier Development Engineer within the automotive, metalworking, or export manufacturing industries.
Language Advanced Conversational English Mandatory for direct commercial negotiation with international suppliers, contract reviews, and global supply chain management.
4. Technical Competencies Hard Skills
Strategic Purchasing Sourcing Deep expertise in strategic sourcing processes, Total Cost of Ownership TCO analysis, RFQ RFI management, cost breakdown modeling, and contract law terms.
Material Manufacturing Knowledge Solid understanding of metalworking processes, structural steel, welding, and general manufacturing components to effectively challenge supplier pricing and technical feasibility.
Foreign Trade Incoterms Mastery of import export regulations, customs management IMMEX scheme frameworks, and global logistics maritime land transport.
ERP Systems Advanced proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning systems SAP, QAD, Oracle, or similar for purchasing modules, MRP, and inventory tracking.
