Organizational context:

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Job purpose:

To edit the process of preparation, response, and legacy of Mexico during the FIFA World Cup 2026 in English and to coordinate the technical reporting for the After Action Review (AAR). This role will document, systematize, and analyze national experiences in preparing and managing mass events from a public health perspective, generating evidence, lessons learned, and replicable best practices. The output will position Mexico as a regional and integral reference in managing health risks at mass events and contribute to regional and global health security.

Responsibilities:

Edit and coordinate the editorial process for the FIFA World Cup 2026 legacy narrative document in English. Coordinate collaborators including editors, technical reviewers, art, and translation. Review and prepare final texts. Collaborate on editorial layout. Perform style correction and final proofreading. Translate Spanish content to English. Develop a structured,



high-level technical and narrative document in English. Develop a structured, high-level document for the FIFA World Cup 2026 After Action Review from the perspective of the Ministry of Health.

Education:

University degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

Work experience:

At least 7 years of experience in complex editorial projects (books, strategic reports, institutional reports). Experience in conducting qualitative interviews and analyzing information. Knowledge of the Mexican health system and the context of health emergencies. Ability to translate technical content into clear, strategic, and high-level narratives. Experience in editorial coordination and working with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent writing, synthesis, and style correction skills.
