The Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for supplier sourcing, development, negotiations, and supply continuity, ensuring the best combination of cost, quality, delivery, service, and commercial terms to support customer demand and internal supply chain objectives.

Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate, and develop potential suppliers based on capabilities, capacity, quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
- Manage supplier sourcing, RFQs, quotations, cost analysis, and commercial negotiations.
- Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, payment terms, lead times, delivery conditions, and service agreements.
- Manage and develop suppliers for stamped metal, metal-mechanical components, sheet metal, packaging, cables/wire harnesses, and electronic components.
- Monitor supplier delivery, quality, responsiveness, capacity, and overall performance, implementing corrective actions when required.
- Identify and execute cost reduction, cost avoidance, localization, and alternative sourcing opportunities.
- Support NPI and engineering projects by identifying qualified suppliers and ensuring sourcing readiness for new products and engineering changes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Materials, Finance, and other internal teams to align sourcing needs, specifications, cost targets, and supply requirements.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new suppliers, market trends, alternative sources, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze sourcing and supplier data to drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and supply chain optimization.




- Identify and mitigate supply risks related to capacity, lead times, single sourcing, material availability, and supplier performance.
- Maintain accurate supplier, quotation, pricing, lead-time, and sourcing information within the ERP system.
- Support supply continuity and ensure suppliers meet customer demand and internal supply chain requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Sourcing / Supply Chain.
- Bilingual: Spanish & English.
- Strong supplier management, sourcing, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with supplier sourcing & development, RFQs, quotations, cost analysis, and negotiations.
- Experience with supplier delivery and performance follow-up.
- Knowledge of cost reduction, cost avoidance, and supplier localization.
- Experience supporting NPI and engineering projects.
- Knowledge of stamped metal, metal-mechanical, packaging, cables/wire harnesses, and electronic components.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze sourcing data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.
