We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized Accounting Specialist to join the accounting team of a Finance & Accounting firm serving founders in the CPG and Consumer Brands space. The firm provides full-cycle accounting, bookkeeping, fractional CFO, financial modeling, and inventory planning services. In this full-time role, you will be a key member of the accounting team, responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial statements for clients.

What You'll Be Doing

• Review banking transactions and categorize them correctly in QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile payments with bills and deposits with invoices
• Record standard monthly journal entries, such as depreciation and prepaid amortization
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a monthly basis
• Prepare monthly client financial reporting packages and variance analysis
• Communicate daily with the internal team, following defined processes and schedules for client tasks
• Produce reports using various systems and QuickBooks data
• Monitor internal and client email inboxes,



following up and actioning communications as needed
• Review financial statements monthly and develop an understanding of each client's business

Qualifications

• Experience categorizing and reconciling transactions in QuickBooks Online (required)
• 4+ years of accounting experience, or an accounting degree
• Proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet operations
• Advanced English level
• Strong organization and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion
• Deadline-driven and detail-oriented

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

• 3+ years of QuickBooks Online experience; QuickBooks certification(s) preferred
• Familiarity with NetSuite
• Experience in a fast-paced work environment
• Work experience in CPG or inventory-based businesses
• Experience balancing multiple clients, ideally with prior CPA firm or consulting firm experience
