The Role
The Shopify Developer will own the maintenance, customization, and optimization of MaryRuth’s online Shopify store. This role will involve extensive cross-functional work with Marketing and other IT teams to facilitate the realization and actualization of team requests and needs while keeping Shopify secure and accessible. The Shopify Developer will also audit the site and implement corrective solutions on an ongoing basis, monitor functionality, apply updates, and act as the team’s Shopify expert. This is a full-time, salaried, remote role. Ability to work in alignment with the US Central time zone preferred. The compensation range for this role is MXN $41,600 to $43,750/month.
Responsibilities
• Build, maintain, and optimize existing Shopify themes for the MaryRuth’s website utilizing extensive expertise in Liquid.
• Own the implementation and resolution of technical requests from Marketing and IT teams to ensure alignment and bridge technical gaps.
• Monitor the Shopify site to establish fully responsive designs and complete functionality for both mobile and desktop users.
• Partner with IT and Enterprise Systems teams to perform security testing and solve for any findings, working to confirm that Shopify remains free of open vulnerabilities.
• Audit code from previous Shopify iterations, determining areas of opportunity and executing improvements.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and security support by fixing bugs, updating themes, and remaining apprised of changes and best practices in security compliance.
• Offer guidance to overnight support on potential admin maintenance
