SHA is a Green Globe-certified brand with a truly multicultural team, united by a mission to create transformative and memorable experiences for every guest.

We are looking for a Longevity, Functional & Precision Medicine Physician to join the Medical Services team at SHA Mexico.

This is a highly personalised, clinically focused role for an experienced physician who can combine strong conventional medical foundations with an evidence-informed approach to prevention, functional medicine, precision medicine and healthy longevity. Reporting to the Clinic Director, you will provide comprehensive medical assessments and develop individualised care plans for an international and highly discerning guest population.

You will integrate clinical history, biomarkers, diagnostic studies, lifestyle factors and emerging health technologies to identify health risks, guide appropriate interventions and support long-term wellbeing. The role requires excellent clinical judgment, scientific rigour and the ability to distinguish established medical practice from emerging or investigational therapies, while delivering the personalised experience expected at SHA.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive longevity, functional and preventive medicine consultations, integrating medical history, family history, lifestyle, biomarkers, imaging and diagnostic studies into clinical decision-making.
- Identify cardiometabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, lifestyle-related and age-associated risk factors, with a focus on prevention, early intervention and healthspan optimisation.
- Develop individualised medical and longevity plans that address metabolic health, nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, hormonal health and behavioural factors.
- Provide appropriate general medical care, clinical follow-up and referral to other medical specialties when indicated.
- Interpret advanced laboratory panels, diagnostic studies and precision health data, translating findings into clear and clinically appropriate recommendations.
- Assess the suitability, indications, contraindications and monitoring requirements of medical interventions offered within SHA’s protocols and applicable regulations.
- Monitor clinical progress and adapt care plans according to outcomes, biomarkers, guest needs and available evidence.
- Explain proposed interventions clearly, including their rationale, expected benefits, limitations, uncertainties and relevant safety considerations.
- Critically assess emerging longevity and regenerative therapies,

distinguishing established evidence-based interventions from investigational approaches.
- Work closely with Nutrition, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Fitness, Wellness, Regenerative Medicine and other medical specialties to deliver coordinated care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and medical boards, ensuring effective communication throughout the guest journey.
- Establish trusted relationships with international guests, demonstrating empathy, cultural awareness, discretion and appropriate professional boundaries.
- Maintain accurate, complete and confidential medical records in accordance with applicable medical, legal, ethical and SHA requirements.
- Contribute to clinical protocols, longevity programmes, quality improvement, patient safety and clinical governance initiatives.
- Stay informed about developments in longevity science, preventive medicine, biomarkers, precision diagnostics and emerging medical technologies.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of new medical services and technologies, maintaining clinical independence and prioritising patient safety.

Requirements

- Medical degree, MD or equivalent, with the valid professional licence and credentials required to practise medicine in Mexico.
- At least five years of relevant clinical experience, ideally within a five-to-ten-year experience range, with a strong foundation in adult medicine, prevention, chronic disease management, metabolic health or longevity.
- Native or fully fluent Spanish and advanced or fluent English, with the ability to independently conduct complex medical consultations in both languages.
- A specialty in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Geriatrics is highly desirable.
- Postgraduate education, fellowship, diploma, certification or formal training in Functional, Integrative, Longevity, Preventive, Lifestyle, Precision or Regenerative Medicine, or Metabolic Health, is highly desirable.
- International postgraduate education, fellowship, certification or clinical training, particularly within recognised medical or academic institutions, is highly valued.
- Previous experience in international healthcare, longevity clinics, medical wellness or premium healthcare environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge or clinical experience across several relevant areas, including metabolic health, weight management, insulin resistance, obesity, cardiovascular prevention, hormonal health, men’s and women’s health, gut health, sleep, nutrition and lifestyle medicine.
- Experience interpreting advanced biomarkers, body composition assessments, biological ageing measures and personalised diagnostic data.
- Familiarity with bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, intravenous nutrient protocols and emerging regenerative or longevity interventions is valued, alongside rigorous assessment of evidence, safety, indications, contraindications and regulatory requirements.

- Familiarity with stem cell and exosome-based therapies or ozone therapy may be considered an advantage; candidates must demonstrate sound judgment regarding their evidence base, limitations and appropriate clinical use.
- Excellent clinical reasoning, analytical skills and decision-making, with a strong commitment to ethical practice, patient safety and evidence-informed care.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and digital health platforms, with the ability to integrate information from multiple clinical, laboratory and diagnostic sources.
- Familiarity with wearables, health-monitoring technologies and precision health tools.
- Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Clinical coordination or leadership experience, including protocol development, complex case review, mentoring or patient safety initiatives, is a strong advantage.
- Experience working with international patients and multicultural teams; additional languages are valued.
