Moderna seeks a Senior Manager of Finance for its Mexico operations to serve as both finance lead and authorized legal representative. The role encompasses statutory compliance, tax and accounting oversight, payroll administration, treasury management, and financial governance across the Mexican affiliate and broader Latin American markets.
Responsibilities
Act as authorized legal representative for Moderna Mexico with power of attorney and e-Firma custody
Co-lead tax registration, filings, and communications with Mexican tax and labor authorities
Oversee monthly accounting obligations, bank reconciliations, and statutory financial reporting
Coordinate payroll processing, social security filings, and employer obligation compliance




Establish and manage local banking relationships and enforce internal controls over payments and approvals
Requirements
Strong expertise in Mexican tax, accounting, and statutory compliance frameworks
Experience as authorized legal representative or similar regulatory compliance role
Proficiency with Mexican government systems including SAT, IMSS, and customs processes
Advanced knowledge of payroll, social security, and labor-related finance operations
Demonstrated ability to manage banking relationships and treasury controls
Fluency in English and Spanish; ability to interface with government authorities and senior stakeholders
