Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR policies and strategies aligned with business objectives; ensure HR processes and procedures are efficient, effective, and compliant with local and corporate regulations.
- Recruitment & Selection: Oversee the recruitment process for non-exempt and temporary staff, ensuring open positions are filled with qualified candidates; supervise job description updates, job postings, and interview processes.
- Payroll Administration: Manage and oversee the payroll system (TRESS), ensuring accurate data integration, timely and correct payments, and compliance with local labor laws. Direct, hands-on TRESS system experience is required.
- IMSS & INFONAVIT Compliance: Oversee all IMSS-related procedures, including new hire registrations, terminations, and salary modifications, as well as other administrative filings with IMSS and INFONAVIT; ensure the company complies with all reporting requirements from these institutions.
- Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Foster a positive work environment and mediate conflicts between employees and management; effectively manage and resolve labor disputes.
- Training & Development: Design, schedule, and oversee the plant's HR and compliance training calendar, including new hire onboarding, anti-harassment and non-discrimination training, code of conduct, and leadership/supervisory development programs, helping employees strengthen their skills and advance within the organization.
- HR Reporting & Analytics: Generate and analyze regular reports on attendance, adherence, headcount, retention, and other key HR metrics; present findings to senior leadership to support informed decision-making.
- Benefits & Wellness Administration:
Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including medical insurance, voluntary benefits, and other wellness-related programs.
- Employee Engagement & Events: Oversee the planning of social events and team-building activities that promote collaboration and a positive workplace culture.
- Labor Law Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Mexican federal and local labor law, including STPS labor and safety regulatory requirements, inspections, and reporting obligations.
- Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Management: Lead the plant's EHS program, including delivering and tracking completion of safety training on lockout/tagout (LOTO), personal protective equipment (PPE), machine guarding, safe material handling, and emergency stop and evacuation procedures; lead incident investigation and corrective action, safety walkthroughs, and preparation for internal and third-party safety audits; ensure compliance with STPS and other applicable environmental and occupational safety regulations.
- Policy & Documentation Governance: Maintain and update the plant's HR and EHS policy library and employee handbook, ensuring consistency with corporate standards across all three Custom Profile sites.
- Cross-Site Collaboration: Partner with HR counterparts at the Grand Rapids and Camden sites to align practices, share best practices, and support enterprise-wide HR initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial or leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Mexican Federal Labor Law (LFT), IMSS, and INFONAVIT regulations and reporting requirements.
- Hands-on experience managing the TRESS payroll system is required.
- Proven experience in recruitment and selection for non-exempt and temporary workforces in a plant or production setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations matters and resolve labor disputes effectively and fairly.
- Advanced/high level of English (written and verbal) is required, in addition to native or fluent Spanish, for regular communication and reporting to U.S.-based corporate leadership.
- Working knowledge of EHS/occupational safety principles and Mexican safety regulatory requirements (STPS); experience leading safety training, incident investigations, and audit readiness in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience building and presenting HR metrics and reports (attendance, headcount, turnover, retention) to senior leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
- High degree of integrity and discretion when handling confidential employee and business information.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per month
