responsibilities
- define and enforce design for serviceability requirements for robotic surgical platforms
- collaborate with engineering teams to design service-friendly system architectures
- develop service boms, preventive maintenance schedules, and calibration protocols
- design service workflows and troubleshooting guides that minimize surgical disruption
- ensure compliance with fda, iso 13485, and iec 60601 standards throughout development
requirements
- bachelor's degree in engineering with 4 years of relevant experience minimum
- experience in service engineering or field service for complex electromechanical systems
- knowledge of design for serviceability, dhf, and fmea methodologies
- familiarity with fda regulations, iso 13485, and iec 60601 standards
- strong technical writing skills and ability to communicate with cross-functional teams
- project management experience and continuous improvement mindset
- robotics or surgical medical device experience preferred
