Job Summary
Looking for an experienced Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear/switchboard manufacturing and electrical design. The candidate will work with the MV design team and coordinate with engineering/manufacturing teams in Mexico, India, and the USA.
Must-Have Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong experience in Medium Voltage (MV) systems.
- Mandatory experience in MV switchgear/switchboard manufacturing.
- Experience working with an MV electrical design team.
- Previous experience as a Coordinator / Lead.
Strong knowledge of:
1. Three-line diagrams and schematics
2. MV wiring diagrams
3. Mimic bus flow diagrams
4. General arrangement, front view, and internal view drawings
5. Power and control circuits
6. Electrical BOMs
and other MV electrical components.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design tools.
- Experience with E-Base or similar electrical engineering systems.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems and engineering BOMs.
- Knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, UL, IEC, and NEMA standards.
- Strong English communication skills are mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review electrical wiring diagrams and MV switchgear drawings.
- Select electrical components and wire sizes based on technical requirements.
- Perform drawing and wiring quality checks.
- Review and resolve electrical design issues during manufacturing.
- Create redlines and update drawings for manufacturing/customer changes.
- Coordinate with offshore engineering teams and provide technical guidance.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical queries and project requirements.
