The Opportunity
Join the founding engineering team for Open English's greenfield platform rebuild as its Infrastructure Lead. Set the technical direction, build the AWS foundation, and own it in production.
Stack: AWS, React, Angular, Python, and Node.js.

You'll be a hands-on technical lead, owning infrastructure as code, deployment pipelines, security, reliability, and cost. Establish the engineering standards the founding team will build on. You'll report to C-suite leadership with direct investor visibility.

This Could Be a Fit If
• AWS Infrastructure: You've personally built and operated production AWS environments, owning networking, access controls, scaling, and cost.
• Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD: You write infrastructure code and build automated deployment pipelines,



owning changes from implementation through production.
• Containerization: You've built and operated Docker-based services and owned deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting with orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Production Operations: You own observability, incident response, and recovery for Python and Node.js services. You can explain the reliability and performance outcomes you delivered.
• You lead through technical credibility and business judgment. You align the founding team and leadership on clear decisions, make tradeoffs explicit, and deliver fast, viable paths to customer and revenue outcomes.
• You use AI to accelerate execution. You understand, validate, and own everything you ship.
• You follow evidence, challenge assumptions, and change your mind. The best idea wins.
