Requirements

- Design, develop, and maintain complete units, subassemblies, and complex mechanical systems.
- Create and review 3D models, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using CAD and PLM systems.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, manufacturing requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Support new product development, engineering change implementation, prototype builds, production, and sustaining engineering activities.
- Provide accurate and timely technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to ensure product functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effective solutions.
- Independently manage routine design activities while contributing to complex projects under general guidance.
- Drive engineering process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.




- Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced designers to ensure design quality and consistency.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, engineering standards, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Ability to create and interpret 3D models, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOMs.
- Strong technical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and accountability.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience supporting product development, engineering changes, prototype manufacturing, and production environments.
- Knowledge of manufacturability, cost optimization, and quality requirements.
- Ability to mentor and support junior designers and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
