Aventus Group is launching lending operations in the United States and is looking for an experienced Head of Collections to build and lead the U.S. collections function from Mexico City.
Aventus Group is an international FinTech group operating in 22+ countries with nearly 5,000 employees worldwide and 17 consecutive profitable years. In the first half of 2026 alone, the Group’s lending companies issued more than €851 million in loans across international markets.
This is a unique opportunity to build a U.S. collections operation from the ground up, defining strategy, processes, technology, team structure, and performance standards in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities:
• Build and lead the U.S. Collections team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Own collections strategy across all delinquency stages, from early collections to recovery.
• Drive performance through data and analytics, monitoring key collections KPIs.




• Develop and optimize omnichannel collection campaigns (dialer, SMS, email, IVR).
• Ensure compliance with U.S. collections regulations and communication requirements.
• Implement automation, testing, AI, and data-driven initiatives to improve recovery.
• Manage external collection agencies and service providers.
• Partner with Risk, Legal, IT, and Operations to build scalable collections processes.

Major requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a senior collections leadership role.
• Mandatory experience managing U.S. consumer collections from Mexico or another nearshore location.
• Experience in fintech, consumer lending, personal loans, credit cards, auto finance, or similar industries.
• Proven track record of improving recovery rates, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of collections KPIs, dialers, CRMs, reporting tools, and Excel.
