Position Overview

Our client, an established and expanding residential construction and remodeling company serving the Tampa Bay area, is seeking a meticulous and highly motivated Junior Construction Project Coordinator & Estimator for this entry-level career opportunity. This role is strategically designed for an emerging professional seeking to cultivate a long-term career within the industry through comprehensive,

hands-on training across all facets of residential construction estimating, material costs, and profit margins.

As the candidate develops technical proficiency, demonstrates consistent analytical accuracy, and exhibits operational independence, both professional responsibilities and financial compensation will scale accordingly. Operating in collaboration with field contractors, the Junior Estimator will review measurements,

photographic evidence, field notes, and scopes of work compiled during onsite customer consultations to synthesize professional, comprehensive project estimates. Professional fluency in written English and conversational proficiency in spoken English (B2+

level or higher) are mandatory requirements for regular corporate communications.

Key Responsibilities

- Review measurements, photos, contractor notes, and project requirements following onsite appointments.
- Prepare detailed estimates and customer quotes for residential remodeling and construction projects.
- Calculate projected labor, material, subcontractor, and other project costs.
- Coordinate with field contractors and operations to clarify missing or unclear information and ensure estimates accurately reflect the proposed work.
- Update estimates and price change orders when project scope, materials, or customer requirements change.
- Maintain accurate, organized pricing, project details, and estimating records.

Required Qualifications

- Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic cost calculations.

- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with U.S.-based contractors and leadership.
- Availability to work full-time during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Comfortable with basic project-management, and working in CRM platforms.
- Comfortable working in imperial units (ft/in, sq ft, linear ft).
- Ability to interpret measurements, project notes, photos, and construction-related documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in residential construction, remodeling, restoration, general contracting, or a related industry.
- Understanding of construction materials, labor requirements, subcontractor costs, and project margins.
- Familiarity using Monday.com and/or construction estimating or quoting software.
- Familiarity with U.S. construction practices and working with contractors.
- Familiarity with U.S. material pricing (e.g., Home Depot, Lowe's, local suppliers).

What Success Looks Like The successful candidate will consistently turn field information into accurate, timely, and easy-to-understand estimates, typically delivered within 24–48 hours of the site visit, allowing the field team to spend less time on administrative quoting and more time managing customers and projects.

Accuracy is critical. The Estimator must be comfortable asking questions when information is incomplete rather than making assumptions that could affect project cost or profitability.

Your potential leader:

- Natalia Kuzminski - Director of Growth & Operations at ROMY | Business Matchmaker | Founder Contratado
