Location: Remote, based in Mexico
Compensation: $2,500 to $2,667 USD per month , depending on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Mexico City time (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time), with flexibility to shift up to two hours earlier or later
Type: Full-time, indefinite independent contractor, paid in USD

About the role
Passport's Data team helps the whole company make better decisions: building the data models and reporting that teams rely on, surfacing insights, and tracking product and company performance. We're adding two Analytics Engineers to the team. This is a hands-on individual contributor role working with stakeholders across the business, including cost-saving projects with high ROI. You'll do well here if you're self-driven, eager to learn,
and comfortable in a fast-growing environment.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain dbt models that serve as the source of truth for reporting and AI
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports across business domains
- Work with large datasets in SQL and turn them into clean, well-documented models
- Act as the bridge between business and technical teams, creating transparent processes
- Document business definitions and internal knowledge base articles that power Passport's internal AI platform
Must-haves
- Hands-on dbt experience (1+ year) building and maintaining models in a real project
- Strong SQL (1+ year) for extracting and processing data
- Solid data modeling skills
- Git as part of your daily workflow
- 1+ year with a BI/visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
- Comfortable using AI tools to build solutions and debug
- Experience communicating between technical and non-technical teams
- Professional-level spoken and written English
- Based in Mexico

- Snowflake
- Experience building semantic layers or knowledge bases for conversational analytics and AI
- Airflow exposure
