About the Position The Technical Sales Representative (RTV) will be responsible for commercial activities, promoting the company’s brand and product portfolio among customers and distribution partners. The role is responsible for prospecting and developing new customers, providing technical and commercial presentations, supporting customers, conducting training sessions, and monitoring field trials. The position will also work closely with the Marketing and R&D; teams on trade shows, events, campaigns, and new product launches, contributing to market development, strengthening customer relationships, and driving sales growth. Key Responsibilities Plan and manage the customers within the assigned portfolio.
Maintain active relationships with customers by presenting and promoting the company’s products. Request and follow up on the documentation required for new customer registrations and the renewal of existing accounts. Prepare and respond to price quotations and submit proposals to customers. Monitor and communicate with customers regarding product delivery logistics, including invoicing, delivery timelines, and other relevant information. Train professionals directly and indirectly involved with the company’s products, including distributors, retailers, and growers, providing technical guidance on product use. Conduct field visits to provide technical support, guidance, and demand generation activities for growers regarding product use. Plan and execute prospecting and demand-generation initiatives to acquire new customers and develop new markets. Identify customer needs and propose events, commercial initiatives, and promotional strategies for the company and its products. Communicate campaigns and commercial initiatives to customers, contributing to customer loyalty and stronger business relationships. Work closely with internal teams to plan and execute trials for evaluating new product positioning and applications. Visit research institutions and consultants to plan and conduct product trials, in accordance with company approval. Develop research protocols together with customers, research institutions, and consultants, and monitor their execution and results. Conduct trials and demand-generation activities for new products with customers,
contributing to the evaluation and approval of the company’s portfolio. Conduct field evaluations and collect data and information for laboratory analysis and decision-making support. Plan and prepare the Sales Forecast, consolidating information based on historical sales data and market outlook. Present sales results and projections to Regional Management for review and approval. Conduct quarterly Sales Forecast reviews, keeping projections updated according to market activity and opportunities. Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, and Word). Knowledge of the agricultural market and assigned territory. Experience with cost management, budgeting, and Sales Forecasting. Strong negotiation and commercial relationship-building skills. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Systems thinking and strong analytical skills. Strong planning, organization, and execution skills. Ability to manage deadlines and priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Results-oriented mindset. New business prospecting and development skills. Customer portfolio management and development. Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field. Experience Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in the position or in a related role. 3 to 4 years of experience in similar positions is preferred. Work in both office and field environments, with frequent visits to customers, distributors, farms, and research institutions. Availability to travel and commute within the assigned territory, including participation in events, training sessions, and field activities.
