The Visual Merchandising Coordinator, Mexico is responsible for executing the brand’s visual merchandising strategy across Sephora and El Palacio de Hierro, ensuring strong brand visibility, consistency, and commercial impact in line with global guidelines and local market needs. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role supports store openings, seasonal updates, planogram and assortment implementation, production and installation of visual elements, and in-store compliance, while coordinating closely with retailers, suppliers, field teams, and internal stakeholders. Additionally, this position assists in tracking the VM budget for Mexico, including CAPEX and OPEX, helps monitor investments and timelines, supports e-retail asset execution, and acts as an operational link between Marketing, Commercial, Operations, Finance, and global teams to guarantee flawless execution and maximize return on investments
Job responsibilities
- Visual Merchandising Execution: Execute the brand’s visual merchandising initiatives across Sephora and El Palacio de Hierro, ensuring strong brand visibility, consistency, and commercial impact aligned with global guidelines and local market needs.
- Store Openings & Seasonal Updates: Support new store openings, seasonal updates, planogram and assortment implementation, as well as the production, logistics, and installation of visual elements and in-store compliance.
- Budget Tracking & Administration: Assist in the follow-up, tracking, and administration of the VM budget for Mexico (including CAPEX and OPEX), helping to ensure tight control of investments, timelines, and execution quality.
- Cross-Functional & External Coordination: Coordinate day-to-day with retailers, suppliers,
field teams, and internal stakeholders (Marketing, Commercial, Operations, Finance, and global teams) to guarantee flawless operational delivery.
- Digital & Retail Support: Support e-retail asset execution, coordinate physical-to-digital retail touchpoints, and assist in tracking the return on visual merchandising investments.
Profile
- Experience: Professional experience in visual merchandising within the retail, beauty, or luxury sector, with operational exposure to major department stores and specialty retailers (specifically Sephora and El Palacio de Hierro).
- Solid project coordination capabilities with hands-on experience supporting store openings, installations, and seasonal rollouts.
- Basic financial acumen and attention to detail for tracking and reporting on CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for managing relationships with suppliers, retailers, and internal teams.
- Practical understanding of planograms, assortment execution, and retail space standards.
- Mindset: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused, with the ability to maintain brand equity and support sell-out performance in a fast-paced retail environment.
